American Border Patrol -- April 16, 2008Operation Virtual Vigilance update
American Border Patrol reports that Operation Virtual Vigilance is progressing well. The border camera system now has both thermal and color cameras and is being used by volunteers from across the nation to watch the border over the Internet. (Glenn Spencer spotted a drug smuggling operation while on the phone with an AP reporter.) "People are truly impressed with the quality of the video and the responsiveness of the camera and pan-and-tilt controls," Spencer said. More later.
