No Evidence of National Guard

June 19, 2006 - 9 am PDT -- Despite promises of their imminent arrival, American Border Patrol could find no evidence of the National Guard being on the Arizona/ Mexico border this morning. A flight of the Border Hawk M from the Huachuca Mountains to the New Mexico state line found only the usual Border Patrol presence. Now the Tucson Citizen is reporting they will not be here until the coming weekend. (see excerpt below). "The President promised to have the National Guard on the border by June 1, so we can say he isn't a man of his word" said Glenn Spencer of ABP.
