ABP Has More Powerful Border Web Cameras
November 19, 2007
American Border Patrol reports that it has installed more powerful web cameras on its Arizona ranch and is seeking support to place them on the Internet. The cameras are based on the Motorola Canopy wireless system that has a range of up to forty miles. "Our new cameras are solar-powered and much more capable than those tested in 2005," said Glenn Spencer of ABP. Spencer said ABP is seeking funding to install T-1 Internet lines so the cameras can be controlled by volunteers working at home. Tax-deductible donations may be made to American Border Patrol, 2160 E. Fry Blvd., #426, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635, or online by clicking here.
