My name is [name withheld by American Patrol Report] and I recently saw something that really disturbed me. I am down in the Gulf coast area working, specifically the Pascagoula, MS. area. The housing situation here after Katrina is terrible and Hotels are gouging the people that are coming into the area to help in rebuilding. That is not the point that I wanted to make though. Because of the housing and gouging situation I and many others are sleeping in tents at campgrounds. Sometimes when the weather is bad I will ride a few miles into Alabama and sleep in my truck at the TA truck stop at the Grand Bay exit. One night I was doing that and I noticed that about every 15 to 30 minutes or so a tour bus would pull into the parking lot and out of each bus would come 40 to 50 obvious immigrants. These people did not appear to be Mexicans but maybe from South American decent. This went on all night long bus after bus after bus. I don't know what was going on with that situation but since then I noticed that it happens on a regular basis. I feel something is definitely not right about it but do not know what I could do about it. I am in the construction field and increasingly I see contractors that hire only immigrant working, probably illegal, to man their jobs.  I continually hear politicians say that these people take jobs that Americans won't do. This is just something they say to try and take the focus off the truth. The truth is the same as it has always been. These people come here and are willing to work for less so therefore the people doing the hiring prefer to hire them. They are now taking over the construction industry and quickly doing so. The wages in the construction industry are and have been stagnant for about 10 years now.  Something needs to be done and I hope it's not too late to do something but I fear that our government has sold us out. I have nothing against Hispanic people but the illegal immigrant situation is out of control and our politicians don't care. I wish you and your website luck in getting your message out. I fear though that it may already be a lost battle.  Keep fighting the good fight though maybe all is not lost.
