Border Fence Works

American Border Patrol has released a chart (see below) that demonstrates how well a border fence works. Using data from its Operation BEEF surveys and figures from Customs and Border Protection ABP produced a chart that shows a stunning connection between the amount of border fence in place and apprehensions of illegal aliens at the Yuma Sector of the Border Patrol. (See chart) "The experience at Yuma echoes what was learned at San Diego," said Glenn Spencer of American Border Patrol.

The analysis of the Yuma data is but a part of a special report to be presented in Washington D.C. on January 15, 2009, Spencer said. "I am convinced that once people see what we have to report they will be saying 'finish the fence,'" Spencer said.
