Border fence construction underway in El Paso
August 27, 2008
According to the El Paso Times work has begun on 57 miles of new fence along the Rio Grand River and Fabens, Texas. Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Ramiro Cordero of the El Paso Sector said the new fencing should be completed by the end of the year. The report said the work had begun two weeks ago. This is consistent with a July 16 aerial survey of the El Paso area that found no significant construction underway at the reported location at that time.
