Border traffic down
December 27, 2006
American Border Patrol reports that, as is the usual pattern between Christmas and New Years, cross border traffic is extremely low right now. Activity at the Naco Border Patrol Station is down to less than half of what is normal, ABP reports. ABP is spending this slow time working on a new "virtual fence" to be operated out of its new 104- acre border ranch. This week the border watch group expects to complete a sophisticated thermal/color camera platform capable of remote operation. "We have an enormous task ahead of us," said Glenn Spencer, head of ABP. Tax-deductible donations made be made to ABP at their Web site.
