A kick-off meeting of a new organization dedicated to telling the American people the truth about its borders has been endorsed by the family of a murdered National Park Service Law Enforcement Officer. Ranger Kris Eggle was gunned down on August 8 by a Mexican drug smuggler while working with the U.S. Border Patrol at Organ Pipe National Park

"Our Border is out-of-control. You are helping to bring attention to this and the reform, which is needed!" wrote Eggle's father and mother in an email to American Border Patrol (ABP) president, Glenn Spencer. "Kris' murder is symbolic of this chaos and lack of control -- also of the dangers from the drug cartels which impact both the Border itself and nearby communities. You have our permission to reference Kris' murder and its implications during your meeting's agenda," the Eggles said.

ABP's kick-off meeting, entitled, "Illegal Immigration: What Citizens Can Do," will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, at the Windemere Hotel, 2047 S Highway 92, in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

From its headquarters south of Sierra Vista, Arizona, ABP plans to enlist the aid of citizens to help gather statistics on border problems. "We are a sort of combination think tank and neighborhood watch," said Spencer. "In time we expect to be using webcams to show live footage of illegal aliens violating our sovereignty." ABP's website, Americanborderpatrol.com , is expected to be in operation in the coming weeks.

ABP's Board of Directors includes Bill King, former Chief U.S. Border Patrol Agent, Ron Sanders, former Chief of the Tucson Sector of the Border Patrol, and Glenn Spencer, president of Americanpatrol.com, America's most visited illegal immigration reform website. Each will speak at the kick-off meeting.
