U.S. Border Patrol Defiles Old Glory

This morning, in a move that defiled the symbol of our nation and violated an understanding made earlier, eight U.S. Border Patrol agents, led by a supervisor, tore down thousands of American flags from a border fence and dumped them on the ground.
I will let the record and these photos speak for themselves that our government is the enemy of the people. We were told that the flags could remain and but that small tags had to be removed. We were told that the U.S. Border Patrol would remove the tags if we didn't.
Not only did the U.S. Border Patrol remove the tags - they removed the flags -- and they dumped them on the ground - an act of total disrespect for our nation's symbol.
What more can we say? What more can we do?

Update
In its November 5 report, KVOA TV said. "U.S. Border Patrol tells News 4 the flags can fly but the messages must come down. Border Patrol has not given Spencer a deadline to remove the tags so News 4 will stay on this and let you know when or if they come down." We contacted KVOA and even spoke to a reporter, but we have yet to hear back from them.
Also, the agents were spotted removing the flags by a part-time ABP worker (retired military) whose first job in the morning is to pick up any flags that had been blown off the fence. By the time he could get to a camera, the agents had fled. Any interested news organization could verify this. |
