Importing Poverty
Time To Reexamine Diversity Model?
Glenn Spencer, American Patrol Report -- September 13
The mantra, "diversity is our strength" is wearing thin. Thursday new census data will show that 15% of "Americans" are below the poverty line. According to the National Poverty Center, in 2008 Hispanic children were three times more likely to be poor than White children. No doubt the recession has worsened their condition.
In 1992 I took early retirement to fight illegal immigration. I did this because of very disturbing data I found that related to illegal immigration from south of the border. In the summer of 1992 I coined the phrase "Importing Poverty" to describe the problem.
Over the next 18 years I came to fully understand that liberals fight to keep our borders open because they believe that all cultures are equal and there is strength in diversity. In The Grand Design, Hawking and Mlodinow describe how physicists stick to outdated models of the universe, even if experimental data prove them wrong.
It is time for liberals to look at the data and reexamine their diversity model assumptions. They should do this before the U.S. becomes a Third World nation, falling behind China – the beacon of diversity and high levels of immigration.
