Border Still Wide Open
Walking Through the "Fence"

American Patrol Report -- January 1
Suspected Illegal Aliens March Into the U.S.

Recent video of lines of suspected illegal aliens (IAs) strolling into the United States demonstrates the need for better border security. The videos, seen here on American Border Patrol's home page, were taken by a concerned American citizen some 60 miles north of the border near Tucson Arizona. "Border Patrol was called and we were able to vector them in on the aliens from our vantage point two miles away. Each group had 11 IAs..... so how many IAs do you think 2 BP agents could catch? The aliens that ran away spent a very cold night milling around trying to figure out what to do without a coyote," the citizen reported.
The area in which the suspected IAs were spotted is called "Amnesty Trail," a well-know smuggling route.
South of "Amnesty Trail" the border is protected by what DHS calls a "fence." "In reality it is a vehicle barrier that is designed to stop vehicles, not people, and it doesn't do a very good job at that," said Glenn Spencer of American Border Patrol.
