American Patrol
According
to data provided by American Border Patrol, Secretary Chertoff
has completed less than 63 miles of new pedestrian fence along
the southern Mexico border. More than half of the new fencing
is along the Goldwater Bombing Range in Arizona where pedestrian
traffic is very unlikely.
Last July Chertoff
said he would have 150 miles of fencing this year. We said
he was either
lying or misleading the American people. It was the latter.
