Senator John McCain was on This Week with George Stephanopolulos.
It included an Iowa McCain rally (click
here to watch).
What Stephanopoulos didn't show was a
citizen asking McCain at another Iowa rally why only two miles
of fence have been constructed on the border (transcript).
McCain said it wasn't funded, and that it wasn't passed by the
Senate. The fact is it was passed
by the Senate and it was funded to the tune of $1
billion.
McCain said "when you build a fence
you've got to patrol it." Does that mean we don't have to
patrol where there is no fence Senator?
He goes on to say failure to build the
fence is why people are cynical. What about when Senators lie,
John?
