| "...we
have to put aside party and think of ourselves as Latinos, as
Hispanics, more than we have in the past." -- Rep.
Bill Richardson, 1996 |

Washington Post -- December 5
New Mexico
Gov. Bill
Richardson says a fence at the Mexican border authorized
by Congress this fall "gets in the way" of U.S.-Mexico
relations, and he wants the new Democratic Congress to reverse
the legislation.
"The fence is very unpopular on
the border in Texas and New Mexico, in Chihuahua..." Comment:
The
Secure Fence Act of 2006 was passed by the Congress and
signed by the President. Sixty-seven percent of the House
voted yes. Eighty-one percent of the Senate
voted yes.
This is the fight. The American
People must demand that the Secure Fence Act be implemented.
If it is not, laws will mean nothing and we will have entered
an era of full-blown anarchy.
American Border Patrol's "Operation
BEEF" will be the watchdog that will tell the truth
about the border. |
