An aerial survey of the Arizona and
New Mexico border by American Border Patrol counted no more than
200 members of the National Guard. The troops were seen fixing
roads, building walls and providing surveillance. Three Kiowa
helicopters were seen at the Deming, New Mexico airport. No other
evidence of air support could be found. Lou Dobbs Tonight - CNN - August 6
Dobbs:
President Bush says he has kept his promise to the American people
to secure our nation's border with Mexico by sending 6,000 troops
to the border. In point of fact our southern border is as wide
open as it has ever been. Casey Wian has the report.
