The General Services Administration
has issued a report extremely critical of the Border Patrol's
handling of a contract to erect camera towers along U.S. borders.
The contract should not have been sole-source. Prices paid for
equipment were up to 300% higher than the government should have
paid, management was incompetent and workmanship was shoddy.
"Once again, the American people are left defenseless by
a federal government that is determined to undermine our border
security," said Glenn Spencer of American Patrol. |
