Bonner: "The immigration system isn't working and hasn't worked for years." Spencer: "The immigration system hasn't worked because people were put in charge to make sure it didn't. Robert Bach is a good example of this. This lackey of the Ford Foundation established the policies that allowed massive illegal immigration. President Bush is now planning to reward this malfeasance. " Bonner: "One of the things that the President's program will accomplish is that it will allow legal workers to legally migrate into this country." Spencer: "Yes, and if you legalized bank robbery and called it unauthorized withdrawal, crime would decrease." Bonner: "Right now we're faced with nearly a million apprehensions by the Border Patrol a year. I'm concerned about Homeland security. I'm concerned about our ability to find the few terrorists or criminals that would be hidden in this flood of illegal migration." Spencer: "In order to stop the flood of illegal migration, we must legalize it to the point where only terrorists who cannot get a visa will be crossing the border illegally. This means granting visas to anyone who applied and who is not a terrorist. This means open borders. This means the end of the United States of America and the consecration of Aztlan. This is national suicide, pure and simple." Bonner: "So it's important that we have a temporary worker program because it will give us greater control of our borders." Spencer: "The terrorists had control of the airplanes on 911 and see what they did." John King CNN Anchor (They haven't said where Dobbs is): On Capital Hill today Senator Feinstein was among those asking the question, would it not serve as a magnet? Would there not be a flood of people trying to come across the border if you had this new temporary program?" Bonner: " Well, I don't think so. First of all, there is no benefit from anybody illegally entering our country right now. We are going to continue and are continuing to vigorously enforce the laws of the United States and to arrest anybody that is illegally coming across our borders." Spencer: "He can't be serious. Thousands are getting past the Border Patrol every day. (See these photos from April 2) And, they are not arrested, Mr. Bonner, they are detained. If the Border Patrol arrests an illegal Mexican, he must be given access to the Mexican consulate. Bonner: "The president himself has said that nobody that is coming across the border now is going to get any benefits from the temporary worker program." Spencer: "Obviously, the Mexicans don't believe him and are coming anyway. Fraud and corruption are a way of life in Mexico and will overwhelm any amnesty program. And what about the majority that get past the Border Patrol without being caught?" Bonner: "The best way to prevent a terrorist attack from happening in the United States is to prevent the terrorists from entering this country in the first instance." Spencer: "That is not what President Bush is saying. He is saying the best way to fight terrorism is to fight the terrorists in their own land." Bonner: "We are concerned that Al Qaida and Al Qaida associated terrorist organizations may attempt to penetrate our border; for example our border southwest border with Mexico. And so we need to reduce the number of people that are illegally crossing that border to increase our ability to identify those few terrorists, criminals or drug smugglers that we want to make sure that we capture, arrests and prosecute and make sure that they are not harming our country." Spencer: "So, there you have it. President Bush is using the threat of terrorism to turn over the American Southwest to Mexico. President Bush does not understand that Mexico is a greater threat to the United States than Al Qaida. Not only that, there is plenty of evidence that Mexicans who hate the United States, and there are plenty of them, will work with Al Qaida to terrorize us. " |
